Riva Owen has been a widow for just over a year when financial pressures lead her to consider selling her home. At a friend’s suggestion, she opens her doors to a group of women in need of housing, bringing together individuals from different backgrounds under one roof. What follows is a thoughtful look at whether these women can find common ground—and perhaps something more—in shared circumstances.
This faith-based novel explores themes of resilience, community, and navigating life’s unexpected turns. I enjoyed following the characters on their journey, though at times the message feels a bit more pronounced than the story itself. Even so, it remains a heartfelt and wholesome read. I would recommend it especially for mature women who may connect with the life experiences and perspectives represented.
