One usually picks up a guidebook and flips through the options to peruse the most appealing options to them. I picked up this selection and read it cover to cover with the sole purpose of providing a book review. I was pleasantly surprised.
Kath Usitalo is knowledgeable about all the places listed here and presents them with an entertaining sense of humor. Some of my favorites included Say Cheese in Pinconning (page 11) Think About Visiting the DIA (page 118) and Find Finland in the UP (page 138).
She includes enough history and facts about the various attractions in our Mitten State to get a person curious about them. My family took turns poring over the entries and pictures contained in this travel-sized edition. Recommended for all ages groups.
